About PM Shri
Activities In The PM Shri School
Under the PM Shri scheme, a flagship mission and the dream project ofthe honorable Prime Minister, many activities are being organized in the school. Until the school was capped as one of the PM Shri schools, it had been reeling under scarcity of budget for developing infrastructure. During the current financial year the school has received a grant of more than four lakh seventy two thousand rupees; Also a grant has been issued to the developing agency fortiling the assembly area and the activity ground.
Programs like community mobilization have been able to influence the mass. The community has been able to grasp the vision behind the establishing PM Shri schools. “The school will now see a substantial lift in the standards and will notice an increase in enrollment in the upcoming year,” said Mr Vikram Singh Bisht, the chairperson ofthe School Management Committee who was addressing a mass gathering at the community mobilization program.
First time since the inception of the school, a two day field visit was organsed by the school. The educational tour to the G B Pant University Of Agriculture And Technology was not only a fun for the students of a rural background but they found the maiden opportunity to learn and absorb the intricate details about vermin compost, dairy , horticulture and floriculture.
Programs on science and maths circle have been wonderful. It allowed the students to overcome the fear of these two subjects and foster a new approach to learning. The school will continue toorganize such programs in future too.
The school is now being equipped with the drip irrigation system. Now, the projects like development of the kitchen cum herbal garden are in the pipeline. Soon we are hoping to grow organic vegetables in the kitchen garden.
Under this scheme, apart from getting a handsome amount for. turning the school in to a ‘Green School’, we have received 65k rupees for the purchase of millets. Every week, we are adding one or the other millets like ragi, jhingora, jwar in the mid day meal. This initiative will surely help students achieve a good physical growth. It will, in turn, lead to a sound mental status enabling them to learn the concepts well.
Thanks to this unique scheme launched by the Prime Minister. We are quite optimistic that the students will bring laurels to the institution and the school will becomea torch bearer for the other primary and secondary schools in the vicinity.
